Sub-Package Manager / Technical Expert – OSS Design (Offshore Substation)

For a major offshore wind grid connection project in the Baltic Sea, we are looking for an experienced Sub-Package Manager / Technical Expert to support the design, coordination, and technical management of Offshore Substation (OSS) platforms.

The role focuses on HVDC offshore grid connection projects involving 525 kV technology and complex multi-disciplinary interfaces.

Your Responsibilities:

• Technical analysis and review of OSS platform design concepts and documentation

• Structured 3D model reviews to identify interface and integration issues at an early stage

• Ensuring proper consideration of RAMS aspects (maintenance, accessibility, operability)

• Coordination of package-related activities and management of interfaces with engineering, procurement, logistics, O&M, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders

• Review and approval support of basic and detailed designs from EPCI contractors

• Development and implementation of commissioning strategies

• Creation and review of ITPs, audits, and technical documentation

• Ensuring compliance with HSE, certification, and international standards (DIN VDE, IEC)

• Supporting risk management and technical decision documentation

Your Profile:

• Senior-level experience in offshore wind, energy infrastructure, or complex plant engineering projects

• Strong background in Offshore Substation (OSS) design and engineering

• Experience with HVDC projects is highly desirable

• Proven interface and package management experience

• Solid CAD knowledge and ability to coordinate technical drawings

• Strong understanding of safety, regulatory, and quality standards

• Very good English skills (C1 level)

Project Details:

• Location: Berlin (Onsite) with partial remote work

• Travel required (incl. international yard locations)

• Long-term project assignment within a framework agreement
