Job description

We’re Hiring: Senior Document Manager (m/f/d)
Offshore Wind | Onshore & Offshore Projects | Permanent Position

T.I.S. GmbH has been a specialised consulting and service company in offshore wind energy for over 20 years. We support international clients in the planning, execution and quality assurance of complex energy projects and work with leading companies in the industry.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Document Manager (m/f/d) who runs documentation processes professionally and acts as the central interface within the project.

Role

As Senior Document Manager (m/f/d), you are responsible for planning, implementing and controlling project-specific, fit-for-purpose document management (DMG) across the entire document lifecycle – from creation through approval, distribution, filing and archiving to final handover.

You act as the central interface between project management, PMO, internal departments and external partners, and make a key contribution to documentation quality and efficient project communication.

Your Tasks

  • Setting up, maintaining and further developing a project-specific document management system (e.g. Aconex, SharePoint, ThinkProject)

  • Analysing framework conditions, requirements, internal and external interfaces and guidelines

  • Designing processes for the creation, review, approval, distribution and archiving of documents

  • Working closely with project management, technical departments and quality assurance

  • Defining and documenting roles, tools, templates, structures and filing logic

  • Preparing templates, DMG guidelines, project instructions and reports

  • Training project teams (e.g. presentations, how-to guides)

  • Quality control of incoming and outgoing documents, and tracking of deadlines and workflows

  • Administering the document management system (user management, access rights, system maintenance)

  • Coordinating as-built documentation and handover to the corporate archive

  • Interface management with external partners (e.g. suppliers)

  • Ensuring compliance and documentation in line with applicable standards (e.g. ISO 9001)

Your Profile

  • Completed vocational training or degree in document management, information technology or a comparable field

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in large infrastructure or industrial projects

  • Proven experience in implementing and using common DMG systems and virtual project rooms

  • Strong organisational skills and structured thinking

  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach

  • High sense of responsibility when handling sensitive information

What We Offer

  • Permanent position with a growing, specialised company

  • Involvement in international onshore and offshore energy projects

  • Collaboration with top players in the offshore wind industry

  • Long-term prospects, responsibility and room to shape your role
