About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Package Manager – Platform Structure (Topside) (m/f/d) to support a major offshore converter platform project for our client, a leading company in the European energy sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the topside structural package of an offshore substation platform. You will ensure technical compliance, interface coordination, and safe execution across all project phases — from design and fabrication to installation, commissioning, and operation.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and manage the topside structural package, including steel structures and outfitting elements
Act as the primary interface between project management, contractors, and technical experts
Coordinate interfaces with other packages (electrical, mechanical) and internal functions (procurement, logistics, O&M)
Review and approve EPCI contractor designs, calculations, and documentation
Prepare technical specifications and support tender evaluations
Provide technical recommendations and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts
Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure safe and efficient construction, installation, commissioning, and O&M phases
Plan and support technical audits, inspections, and quality controls during fabrication and installation
Manage subcontractors and additional specialists within the package
Ensure compliance with HSE, QA, and permitting requirements
Develop and support inspection and test plans (ITPs)
Act as focal point for all topside structural topics and maintain lessons-learned documentation
Monitor fabrication and installation activities and report regularly to project management
Your Profile
University degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or a comparable discipline)
Strong expertise in offshore topside structures and offshore platforms
Proven experience in managing EPCI interfaces and multidisciplinary teams
Experience with corrosion protection systems, ideally ICCP, is an advantage
Very good knowledge of offshore standards and regulations (e.g. DIN, IEC, DNVGL, BSH)
Business-fluent English (C1); German is a plus
Confident handling of common IT systems (MS Office, SAP HANA)
Willingness to travel within Europe
